This is Bill and Vicky Murphy! They served for 20 years in full-time Evangelism but Bill accepted the position as Pastor of Gordon Street Baptist Church in Alvin, Texas January 2004. They are willing to go where ever GOD opens us a door to share the gospel (GOOD NEWS) of Jesus Christ however are limited to doing 5 revivals a year. They have been married since January 17, 1969. From 1971-1983 Bill worked in several churches in Eastern New Mexico and West Texas serving as Music, Youth, and Education Director. Bill preaches, sings, and teaches Bible Studies. Vicky plays the piano, keyboard, flute, sings, and is the author of "Bible Art", a bible study for women, and has written a book about her titled "Not Just My Heart."
Together they have made 5 recordings: 1"The
Murphys," 2"Friends in Faith", 3"Sincerely HIS", 4"Holding on to Jesus" and 5"I Rest My Case.".
In 1983 they surrendered to full-time evangelism. In 1994 the Murphys sold their home and bought a Greyhound bus which they converted into their full-time residence. They traveled year round until January 2004 when Bill accepted the "call" to be the Pastor of Gordon Street Baptist Church in Alvin, Texas. They still have a desire to share the gospel of Christ where ever they are given the opportunity and Gordon Street Baptist Church has graciously allowed the Murphys to do 5 revivals a year.

The Murphys are members of Skyview Street Baptist Church soon to be located at 770 Shirley Street in Alvin, TX. Bill Murphy accepted the position as Pastor of Gordon Street Baptist Church in January 2004. April 2007 the church sold it's property located on Gordon Street and it was necesarry to change the name of the church to Skyview Baptist Church. SBC is aligned with Southern Baptist of Texas. However they do not allow their personal opinions with the SBT to interfere with the presentation of the gospel of Christ. Their main goal is to present the plan of salvation and to avoid controversial topics during revivals or church services. You can access the website of SBT by clicking on the cloud below: Sunday School starts at 10:00 a.m., Morning Worship 11:00 a.m and 6:00 p.m. and Wednesday night Prayer meeting meets at 7:00 p.m..
